David Z. Moses » Owner
Owner
David has over 20 years in the real estate business, including taking jobs in commercial real estate, residential development and construction during the Great Recession, while keeping the company open. He began investing in buy-and-hold single and small multifamily residential dwellings in 2010. As an investor, David holds over 200 units through various holding companies. David was instrumental in building Avenue Group Real Estate to approximately 550 units and has been named a top management company in metro Detroit by expertise.com. In 2019, he added KC Property Services, LLC to the family of companies which already included modular construction (Victor Moses Homes, LLC), maintenance and renovation (Hashtag Maintenance, LLC) and residential brokerage (M1 Brokerage, LLC). With KC Property Services, brought a team of experts and nearly 3,000 doors of condo, HOA, and co-operative units under management. Today, Avenue Group Real Estate employs over 40 team members and calls downtown Berkley home. As his real estate adventure continues, David is executing on his vision to grow hard-money lending (Moneyboots Capital, LLC) and direct-to-seller acquisitions (QEstate, Inc) platforms in order to provide a fully vertically integrated residential real estate investment firm.
Jay Yorke » Integrator
Jay Yorke is the Integrator and real estate operations leader with 10+ years of experience helping property management teams run smoother, faster, and more profitably. As Director of Operations for Avenue Group Real Estate and KC Property Services, Jay turns day-to-day complexity into repeatable systems—aligning people, process, and technology to deliver a better experience for owners, residents, and staff.
Jay began his career in property management, where he built a reputation for detail, follow-through, and steady execution. Today, he focuses on optimizing workflows, improving accountability, and scaling service delivery across portfolios—often through smart automation and process design that reduce friction and create consistency.
Outside of operations, Jay shares practical insights and industry trends through his weekly property management podcast. He’s known for a calm, no-fluff approach: diagnose the issue, build the system, and keep the team moving forward.
Bernadette» Director of KCPS Operations
Bernadette is the Director of KCPS Operations at KC Property Services, bringing more than 25 years of experience in management, customer support, recruiting, and team leadership. Known for her energetic, goal-oriented style and people-first approach, she helps ensure KCPS runs efficiently while delivering a consistently excellent experience for residents, owners, and partners.
In her director role, Bernadette supports day-to-day operations, strengthens team processes, and leads with accountability and care. Her focus is simple: respond to customer needs respectfully, resolve issues promptly, and help the team operate at a high standard every day.
Outside of work, Bernadette is an active volunteer with Karmanos, Sisters Network, and the American Cancer Society. She’s also the proud center of a blended family with 5 children, 5 grandkids, and 1 great-grandchild.
Beverly
Senior Community Manager
Beverly has the experience, skills, and education needed to succeed in any real estate project. Beverly is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Urban Planning and Public Policy in Community and Economic Development. She’s a real estate broker and has been a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Building Owners and Managers Association, as a Certified Property Manager and a Real Property Administrator. She is an amazing woman just to sit and talk to! Her personality is warm and inviting and just a lovely person to have in your company.
Jazmin
Community Manager
Jazmin has extensive property management experience from rental property support to condominium high-rise support. She is steadfast in following up with co-owners and their concerns. Working with vendors to obtain uniform proposals for a project or routine services are completed efficiently every time. Jazmin has helped decrease turnaround time in the work order client experience. We are pleased to introduce the newest member of our team and are proud to offer this additional support team member to our communities. Jazmin enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
Marianne
Controller
Marianne has been in the Property Management industry for over 25 years. She is experienced in several industry-leading accounting platforms. She joined KCPS in 2009 and has been instrumental in the company's growth. Marianne is the nuts and bolts required for impeccable accounting practices that KCPS maintains for their Associations. Her knowledge in the industry is hard to surpass. Not only is she great with numbers, but she is also a proud grandmother of 6. She enjoys spending her time out in the sun golfing. You also will not find her far away from quilting, canning, cooking...basically, you name it, this lady can do it!
Heather
Accounting Team Leader
Heather is the behind-the-scenes professional here at KCPS. Her duties include accounts receivable, assisting in accounts payable, compliance notices, greeting clients’ accounting questions, and supporting our management staff. Her concentration on scope development through comparable bid solicitation supports her communities with these strong project management skills. She is a dedicated, motivated, self-starter with an eye for attention to detail. She is knowledgeable in the industry and takes a personalized approach to Community Management. Heather is a talented seamstress and enjoys displaying her various works of art at local craft shows. Heather is a proud Girl Scout leader and is always supporting her daughter to contribute back to her community. She is happily married and enjoys spending time with her family.
Marcela
Assistant Community Manager Team Leader
Marcela brings vast experience in customer service and project management. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Lesley University in Business Administration. She is a skilled problem solver with an enthusiastic personality who focuses on listening to customer service issues and works toward offering a unique and innovative solution to each problem. At KCPS she is responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services, and ensuring that matters that arise are promptly resolved. Marcela enjoys long walks, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Patti
Administrative Assistant
Patti joined KC Property Services in 2016. She is the voice that greets each call. She is the behind-the-scenes professional here at KCPS. Her goal is to provide the answers to co-owner inquiries with the first phone call received. She is a proven multi-tasker that will not leave a task undone. Her organizational skills are impeccable. Patti enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When not in the office you will find Patti sailing on her boat. She enjoys the luxury Michigan has to offer of our inland lakes. She always has a positive approach and greats every opportunity with a smile.
Honnie
Assistant Community Manager
A knowledgeable and dedicated customer service professional for more than 10 years, a solid team player with an outgoing, positive demeanor and proven skills in establishing rapport with clients. Motivated to maintain customer satisfaction and contribute to company success. Eloquent, spirited, and results-oriented. She is proficient in handling complex customer issues and promoting a positive experience. Consistently efficiency-driven, organized, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. During weekends, Honnie enjoys spending time with her family, and traveling with friends, she is a certified foodie and loves watching series and movies.
Jacqlyn
Assistant Community Manager
Jacqlyn is a dedicated, passionate and a hard worker. Her experience in customer service will make sure that she can deal with clients with kindness and compassion. She is a problem solver by nature and enjoys tackling complex tasks with creativity and analytical thinking. Though she spends much time in front of the computer screen, she is also a social butterfly and enjoys hanging out with her friends. Her warm demeanor makes her a magnet for friendships and cherishes the meaningful connections she forms with people. She is known for her supportive and empathetic nature and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
